Give your cake a different look

Wedding cakes with round tiers will always be the classic standard, but if you still want that classic look, with a twist, there are other great pan shapes out there to use. This Petal Pan set comes with all four pieces in 6", 9", 12", and 15" sizes. These are 2" tall and work great as a set or mix and match with round or square pans for variation.

We've recently gotten in a bunch of new candy molds and candy melts. We have lots of new products and colors, so I thought I'd highlight a few of them. Summer weddings may be over, and Valentine's day is a while away yet, but some things are never out of season.

These roses would be nice for a sweet sixteen, an engagement party, or wedding. It is a lollipop mold with nine caveties for big, bold candies.


The Roses in Bloom mold has only one design, but ten cavities to make candies the perfect size for party favors or mints along the edge of the plate.

Personalize Your Wedding Cake

I did a post about some of the fun wedding cake toppers available here. But since the selection continues to grow, I thought I'd highlight a few more. If these intrigue you, check out our Website. We have still more toppers I haven't featured on this blog.


I thought I'd start with this fun option, the Rhinestone Heart Wedding Cake Topper, which could be used easily for an anniversary cake as well. This is 8.5 inches tall.





This new topper is one of my all-time favorites. It's called Forever in Your Eyes, is made of a durable resin, has great details, and will make a great keepsake.

This topper is called Just Married, and makes me think of Jane Austen and other romantic classics. It stands 5 inches tall, and is also made of a durable resin. It works great with revolving stands, too.

One thing our selection didn't have before was options for minorities, but we've recently added two new toppers for those of other races and ethnicities.

This humorous topper is available featuring both a white and ethnic couple. It's called Oh, No You Don't and stands 4.25 inches tall.

Get ready for the big day

With June weddings zooming closer every day, you may be rushing to pound down final plans and touches for your special day, or that of a friend or family member. There are a lot of fun little touches available to add to the event. First, the cake:

Pillars and columns are common sights on cakes with several tiers. We have these great Grecian pillars in 5", 7", and 9" lengths. The picture shows all of the lengths, but they come in packages of four pillars in a single length.

An alternate possibility is these hidden pillars. They are trimable so you can make them fit whatever cake depth you have. These are inserted into the cake like a dowel, and fit the plastic cake separators to create the illusion that the upper layer of cake is hovering over the lower level. Another great product available is the autograph mat, which fits a standard 11"x14" frame. This is a great item for small, intimate weddings, bridal showers, graduation parties, even anniversary or retirement parties. We used it at my daughter's wedding, and she loves being able to look up on the wall and see a wedding picture of herself and her husband and see the signatures of everyone who was there on her special day.

The Romantic Castle Set is ver Versatile

Last week I talked about different ways you can use the Enchanted Castle shape pan. This week I'd like to show ideas for different applications for the Romantic Castle cake set. Wedding Cake Toppers

One of the little decisions that makes an impact on your wedding is your cake. There are as many ways to decorate a wedding cake as there are people but most couples are going to want some kind of wedding topper on the cake. Because of this, Wilton makes a wide range of toppers to fit nearly any couple.
